El domingo 11 de febrero el Alcalde Rolando Arturo Aquino Guerra, superviso los trabajos que se realizan en el caserío Plan del Guineo Aldea El Barreal.

En la supervisión de trabajos acompañaron al alcalde Municipal miembros de la Honorable Corporación y el juez de asuntos Municipales.

En dicha supervisión se pudo observar que los trabajos ya se encuentran bastante avanzados, el cual consistieron en pintura y circulación total del establecimiento, se coloco maya metálica, juegos infantiles, plantas ornamentales, llantas de colores, entre otros trabajos.
Consultado el Alcalde Rolando Arturo Aquino Guerra, nos informaba que al terminar los trabajos se estará realizando la entrega de los trabajos de mejoramiento en la escuela a la comunidad.

Debido a los constantes hundimientos en varios sectores de Aldea El Barreal, el Alcalde Municipal Rolando Arturo Aquino Guerra, conjuntamente con miembros de la Honorable Corporación Municipal, juez de asuntos Municipales, el comisario de la PNC Chiquimula, Abelino Lajú López, y Jorge Pacheco coordinador de CONRED Chiquimula, realizaron una importante reunión el domingo 11 de febrero; La reunión se debió a una amenaza geológica en el sector de Aldea El Barreal, por lo que se realizó una supervisión de los daños.
Consultado el coordinador de CONRED, indicaba que los daños fueron a causa del 100% de humedad en el suelo, el cual provocó que constantemente hubiera hundimientos en varios sectores del lugar.

En dicha reunión se llego a tres puntos importantes, en lo cual la misma comunidad estará priorizando quienes tienen mayor necesidad, se estará identificando quienes son las personas que serán trasladadas a un albergue comunitario, la comunidad estará enviando al Concejo Municipal de lo que con la misma comunidad acuerden

El pasado miércoles 7 de febrero desde temprana hora, se llevo a cabo el desfile inaugural de la feria patronal del municipio de San Jacinto, en honor al Patrón San Jacinto.

El Alcalde Anfitrión el Profesor Leonidas Morales, giro invitaciones especiales a los once Alcaldes Municipales, así como el Gobernador Departamental y demás personas que fueron invitadas a disfrutar de un magno desfile, que fue del deleite de los chinteños, que abarrotaron la calle por donde se llevo a cabo el dicho desfile.

Así mismo participaron alumnos de diferentes centros educativos, Bandas rítmicas invitadas del INEB de Chiquimula, INBECC del municipio de Esquipulas y del municipio de Jalpatagua, departamento de Jutiapa, así mismo la estampan folclórica la caballera, que es netamente del municipio de San Jacinto

Reportero de la oficina de Relaciones Públicas de la Municipalidad de Chiquimula, estuvo presente en dicho acto inaugural, se pudo observar que el trencito que fuera construido por la administración del Chato Aquino, fue utilizado para carroza de las representantes infantiles de dicho municipio.
